Dormitories

Vavilov University takes care of the comfort of its students. Comfortable dormitories are provided for nonresident and foreign students.

Quantity and condition

The university has 15 student dormitories at its disposal. They are equipped with everything necessary for living and studying. The administration regularly carries out repairs and modernization of the housing stock: in 2025, the renovation of dormitories No. 7 and 9 began, and in 2026, work is planned in four other dormitories.

Infrastructure

On the campus and in dormitories there are:

• Medical centres;

• Canteens and buffets;

• Gyms and workout facilities.

The cost of living in the hostel is 2.792 rubles per month. Upon check-in, students must pay at least 6 months in advance (16.752 rubles).

For accommodation, international students must provide:

Health certificates of:

1. A therapist examination;

2. A dermatologist examination;

3. Fluorographic examination findings.

IMPORTANT: All medical certificates must be up-to-date at the time of check-in. Certificates are valid for no more than 7 days.

The document on payment of accommodation:

1. Receipt confirming payment for accommodation in the dormitory.

 

RULES OF RESIDENCE IN THE DORMITORY

1. Students are required to keep their rooms and common areas clean and tidy, clean their room daily, and clean the kitchen according to the established duty schedule;

2. Drinking alcoholic beverages, use of narcotic substances and their precursors are strictly prohibited on the territory of the dormitory. Being drunk in the hostel is the reason for eviction!;

3. Students are not allowed to throw garbage and various objects out of the windows;

4. Students should not disturb the silence and interfere with other residents. It is important to observe the curfew!

The University has a sports and recreation complex with a swimming pool and three sports and recreation camps on the banks of the Volga River - a great place to relax and play sports in the summer.

Adaptation of foreign students

Organizational meetings and meetings with the staff of dormitories and the Institute of International Relations are regularly held for foreign students to help them settle into a new country and resolve everyday issues.
